Well, you might be in somewhat uncharted waters with this one.
I'm thinking potential for overstimulation and/or blood pressure spike would be the main things to look out for. On one hand, the D part of DLPA could be good in slowing down the breakdown of natural opioid endorphins...sort of like a mild MAOI of endorphins. The rest of it is going to the adrenaline circuits.
I would think dipping your toes in the water cautiously with very low doses wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm thinking 25mg to 50mg per day for a few days. Take it between meals for best absorption. If you want to buffer it for more safety, take it with food.
Decades ago two clinical studies used DLPA to treat major depression and the success rates were very high...the doses were only in the neighborhood of 150mg per day, far lower than the 500mg doses sold. Time to response was about 30 days. I imagine response could be quicker with higher doses, but then, that might not actually be a longterm adaptive response, but rather a short-term stimulation that would build tolerance.
I don't know why they make such large doses.
Potential is there, but respect the risks. Keep the doses very low for a week or two until you know what it is doing. That's what I would do anyway.
