I have suffered from fibromyalgia for 18 years and have tried myriad medications & modalities- alternative and traditional. I have tried exercise, nutrition, meditation, you name it. For a while, things will go a bit better. Then, it all goes south again. I am on a pretty desperate southern route right now. My new doctor is recommending botox injections in my neck and back for the debilitating pain I am currently experiencing. I was also diagnosed with TOS, although this new doctor isn't positive that's the case. Botox has been suggested before and I was always terrified of putting that crap in my body. In addition, the first doctor who recommended it years ago did warn me of immediate death should the technicians inject it into a vein. My doctor admits there are risks, but she herself has had the shots for her own back and thinks they are worthwhile.
I am desperate enough to try it. Does anyone have experience with it out there?
