What mood stabilizer is good for inattentiveness?

I always thought I had ADHD-I (and was diagnosed with such). But some posters here suggested perhaps I'm bipolar instead. My doc thinks this is a possibility too.


Are there any bipolar drugs/mood stabilizers that help with concentration and inattentiveness?


(I have tried lamictal, btw. It seemed to have made me confused. Desipramine used to help w/ my attention, but now it just seems to make me agitated and anxious. The other usual ADD drugs don't do much for me or make me worse.)
