effexor is basically the same thing, well pristiq comes from effexor (effexor gets turned into pristiq in your body)
They are very serotonergic, personally i found them the worst for the side effects you are having especially emotional dullness and sexual dysfunction.

Have you ever tried ciprimil or lexepro? I had a uch better time with those even though they are ssri's.
