Hi Bearfan,

Truthfully, I don't know, though I've been on both, as far as AD efficacy. I do feel less side effects at my current 50 dose of pristiq than I ever did on Effexor. Am I less depressed? I don't think so....
Is it better for men? I'll let the guys here thresh that out.
