"You act like you're on drugs!"...That was a low blow that I could not accept. I was always labeled the sketchy kid...hearing it time and time again. This was due to my treatment-resistant social anxiety (could be more d/x's...)as I finally got the N. I treat everyone with respect as they all deserve it and was doing so the whole time. That one comment...We walked back to my room where the MD and his staff was, and my parents. The nurse put on a kind face and informed the MD of what she was going to do (catheterization of course.) She also said something else on the bad side and I right there called her out in front of the entire medical staff. "You also said that I act like I am on drugs in the bathroom." Everyone but her and my parents (who don't buy a thing I say) were blatantly shocked. Nurse: (with a front..an almost heavenly voice) "No, Kevin we had a frank conversation and I noticed your eyes and saw they were dilated. All I said was it looks like you're on drugs." Mom: " Yeah, it was only because your eyes are dilated." "No, she said that (i'd italicize this) I act like I am on drugs. I find that offensive [/i] Mom x2 :"No, no you look like you are on drugs." *laughs between my parents and the nurse...not the rest of the staff. We move on to the catheterization..they all exit..The nurse becomes and talks like a whole new person and I think to myself, hey the rest of the night won't be so bad...Aside from the ensuing procedure. So I got a tube plugged where it shouldn't go and it was pretty painful. A very weird pain. Relief of my bladder though...
