When I took Rozerem, I had a good run with it. I took it while on EMSAM, which caused intense insomnia for me. The Rozerem did not "make" me go to sleep, but it did ease me into sleep -- and its effects got better, and better, and better as time went on. I think it improved the quality of my sleep, and it's the only hypnotic which hasn't caused problems for me the next day. No grogginess, no fogginess, nothing.
Just a nice, mild, natural feeling, good night's sleep.
My doctor, who is a brilliant genius and usually quite reliable from what I can tell, says that its effects improve over time, and benefits can continue to accrue over as long as 12 months. He also says that it seems to augment AD effects for many of his patients.
But it's not going to knock you out.
I hope that helps.
