I was looking through my bag of old meds the other day and found a pack of generic 20mg citalopram tabs. I was hoping to find some Zoloft, but that was in another bag that a certain somebody threw out while I was in hospital. I thought it might help me bridge the gap between now and when I see my pdoc next (whch could be as long as six weeks). Tianeptine would be great, but even if I ordered some it would take a few weeks to get here. The main drawbacks are:
* It's a few years out of date (not too bothered as I've heard it doesn't make that much difference).
* Can increase the risk of bleeding when taken with amisulpride.
* Sexual problems and insomnia (although I have some Periactin, so that might help).
* May cause apathy when I really need something motivating/energising.
I may try a small 10mg tester dose tomorrow just to see what effect it has. I'm not sure about this, but it's worth a try. I need something to help me get through the days.
