Jan, I hope you're not starting to question the doctors so much again. If I were going to advise you on any of this, my advice would be very simple: talk to your pdoc -- ONE pdoc, not the ER doc, the old pdoc, the new pdoc, and any other docs, but only ONE pdoc -- and stick with the program for at least two months, long enough to see what the medication is going to do for you.
The ER doc only saw you once, right? How could he have learned enough about your history to say that the Luvox is the right drug for you? While you may not think either of your recent pdocs is the best out there, at least they've had more history from you, and more expertise in psychopharmacology than this ER doc. Even if the ER doc is a genius, member of MENSA, etc, he's still not had enough history from you to make a decision like that.
