For me tianeptine is calm and fuzzy while SSRIs are cold and hard. I prefer tianeptine over them certainly. SSRIs tend to numb and truncate my feelings while tianeptine seems to blur and soften them slightly. I also had no side effects from tianeptine but loads with SSRIs. They're a little agitating.

Tianeptine doesn't seem to alter the effect of escitalopram much in my case.
