No, I don't think that a disclaimer is really necessary for a message about gaining weight on Nardil, but I appreciate the fact that you offered to write one.
It really doesn't bother me so much that some Babblers might mistakenly be thinking that I gained 50 pounds in a year on Nardil. More than anything else, I just wanted to stress the importance of being cautious when quoting archived material to make sure that messages don't get attributed to the wrong person. In this case, it was really no big deal (although gaining 50 pounds on Nardil would have literally been a "big" deal). But I think that it could be problematic if an archived message of a more sensitive or disturbing nature were to be reposted with the implication that someone other than the original author wrote the message. So, I just wanted to urge some caution.
