Yale is where my Mother died in the 60's. She was on bedrest and had a cough. They were going to x-ray her lungs in the am. During the night she threw a pulmonary embolism and died. No Homan's signs? And my youngest was there in neonatal ICU cause the docs had let me take benzos and alchohol during pregnancy. She projectile vomited till l8 months and cried 24 hours a day. They thought it was failure to thrive. She was there two weeks and the nurses didn't put any weight on her. Sent her home with him saying not one person alone could care for her. In the two weeks she was there I cold turkeyed from all meds and felt like I was on a rocking ship. So I added back 5mg of valium and was able to relax and put three pounds on her in a month. God so many things. Love Phillipa ps the docs including the OB-GYN knew about the meds and they even gave me two seconals in false labor two weeks before she was born.
