How does one get a pdoc to prescribe a MAOI? I have been through just about all the SSRI's, SSNRI's and Wellbutrin. I responded very well to Wellbutrin a few years ago, but now (after taking a break from it), I am ALLERGIC to it. I am not sure how this happens? Currently, I am taking:Cymbalta 60 mg
Ctyomel 50 mcg
Trazodone 50 mg
Klonopin 1 mg
Abilify 2mg (I just stopped yesterday due to increased anxiety)I have asked for a MAOI to combat depression and anxiety; however, pdoc is concerned about the 14 day washout and wants to try all the augmentation stragegies first. I would like a more agressive "strategy" (even if that means I have to stay with my parents for 14 days to watch me during the washout). How can I convince pdoc to prescribe a MAOI? If I cannot get a MAOI, Remeron is next on the "list" and I am sooooo dreading the weight gain! :(
