I take 50 mg/day Marplan and find that 50 mg Seroquel works reasonably well. Halcion is much more powerful than Ambien or Lunesta, but as Scott indicates, its short half life can cause early morning awakening. The short half life along perhaps also with its high potency may be part of the reason this is one of the more problematic benzos as far as dependency and severe adverse psychological effects. Prosom is very similar chemically but has a longer half life and seems to be less problematic. I think it is also relatively powerful.
