You have to be careful that you really understand what's being said by the drug company/FDA approved literature. They present statistical evidence of tyramine effects. You are an individual. You cannot use the statistical information to predict your response to tyramine exposure.
If I recall correctly, the threshold that they look at is the dose at which 50% of the population have in increase in systolic pressure of 30 mm of mercury on exposure to a set amount of tyramine.

There is no way to predict from the literature how *your* body is going to act. You don't have any way of knowing where you fit onto that bell curve.
You have to learn how careful you need to be. And the best way to do that is to gradually but purposefully expose yourself to tyramine sources. If you do it carefully enough, you'll get a sense of how much attention you need to pay to this. Some people do not ever have a problem at all, no matter what dose they take. Others, unfortunately, have to be very careful indeed.
