You have a local anaesthetic, so it doesn't hurt, but is unpleasant, which is to be expected.
To begin with, for the 3 weeks or so until you blow out the scab, congestion is worse, and during this time you can't use either steroid or decongestant nasal sprays. After the scab is out so to speak, congestion is better. I wonder if people who have sinus type conditions might not do so well as those who have rhinitis. It does enlarge the breathing passages a bit.
I've actually had more help from antiallergic herbs like baicall skullcap and albizzia. I have a high IgE. But you have to take them all the time.
