What is a staff-grade doctor?
The best doctor is the one who listens to you and hears you at the same time. As long as sterness doesn't stop you from asking questions etc. Then go with doctor number 2.
It is odd for a doctor to have physical contact with a patient. I'm not saying it is wrong, but usually doctors must refrain from it in case it is misconstrued. Personally I HATE to be touched. I would freak out if a doctor reached out to touch me.
Are you seeing this doctor for therapy or is it a pdoc?

I decided to change, and I know this is really bad, but basically it was coz she was a consultant and I thought she would be *better*.

Whenever I used to say something like "you're angry at me arn't you" to Betty, she'd be like "noo! Don't be silly!" and stroke my arm or something.
