Hello. I have been on meds for 20 years and I am 35 years old. I am bipolar. Trileptal is the only mood stabiliser I have NOT had a reaction to. It can make people trip sometimes - effect your coordination- but that went away for me after taking it for a month. It can also lower your sodium level so make sure you have some salt in your diet. A low sodium level can make your heart go wonky.

When I am manic or hypomanic it's not a happy occasion. It's usually irritability and anger and trileptal has helped so much with that aspect. I had no weight gain or loss from it. I would be a mess without it.
