When the side effects continued, my other meds were changed, but not the Adderall. Finally, I was told that it was just "me" and maybe I should just learn to live with it...or get counseling to help me.

Is there ever a time it is inappropriate? Who decides? Peer review? This is what I am looking for....information, not more Adderall.

However, the doc she saw is now MIA and when she found him(in another state, he gives absolutely no reference AT ALL to having worked with Amen Clinic...even though he claims to treat ADD/ADHD and multi problem cases. Amen clinic does not mention him any where either. As a matter of fact, when this girl requested her records (twice) the records do not show any mention (except one very small)of this doc.

The doc prescribed 160mg of Adderall, 25mg of Ritalin, 100mg of Topamax and 100mg of Effexor(this was the INITIAL DOSE). She resides in California.

> Hi Kristen,I thought you were talkin about yourself. Well I don't really know to help, I am in New Zealand (know where that is) except give support. as I have delt with similar problems to you. This Doc must have known 160mgs of Adderall (a med not here in NZ) was a huge dose to begin a patient on, even if they had been doin 1-1.5 of Crystal a day- did it freak you out when you first took it? I have been given labels of ADHD depression, GAD by a top PsyDoc before as well, and taken RItalin for it,(great for depression for 4 5 hrs) scripted 20mgs TID and 10mgs at nite if required. You had probs on 5mgs!!. When first started it did cause high anxiety but after weeks, months it gave me somewhat of a Zombie-like calmness, and made me feel cold all the time, unlike the TCA AD I take now which causes to make me eat alot (7kgs gained in 4 wks)and feel warm.
Are you still smokin Meth?
How were you after Quiting, If you have?I was depressed, apathetic, and craved Rit for some time, still do sometimes-It was the best of 5 ADs I have taken.
I have been given mod stabilises b4-anti manic drugs to be more accurate-Tegretol, made me depressed, irritable.
People with ADHD, Bipolar, nxiety disorder issues, Tend to grap hold of subatances which make them feel better, For me it was benzos, calming antihistamines, mixed with 2-3-400mgs of Codeine, which frankly worked better than the TCA AD I was given 5 wks ago.
You can buy Codeine OTC here in NZ in some pain pills.Cheers
