I don't know if it **is** necessarily better or worse or the same. I've noted the trend of posters here (and docs that are precribing, I guess) can change over time. At one time, many considered Xanax as better. Other times Klonopin was more a frequent finding. I tried the XR version of Xanax as a switch from Klonopin and did not find it as effective for me but I think it's up to how an individual reacts and the thoughts of the prescribing person. Regular Xanax has a short halflife and can burn out soon, but some do fine and prefer it.
