taking APs under stress

Posted by lostforwards on November 3, 2004, at 14:38:55

is it safe to take an antipsychotic when you're under severe stress? I've read that under stress the brain tries to produce more dopamine, in response to the dopamine that gets lost in conversion to norepinephrine( I think ). wouldn't taking the antipsychotic be a bad idea then? if it would be what would happen.
would it increase the chances of developing eps?
