I am not too sure how things work over there in the US as I am from NZ. I do understand, though, how much relies on health insurance... What about if you went to your GP? Might they be willing to re-prescribe a medication that you have been prescribed from a p-doc given how much you believe it is helpful to you? Would that be an option, or do GP's not really prescribe anti-depressants over there, or is seeing a GP still a bit expensive?
How come you don't get emergency aid? Isn't there any public fallback where you can ring someone in a crisis situation where they get you to a p-doc for assessment of the crisis (so hopefully you can get a script out of them)?
I am sorry I can't be of more help.
Does anyone else have any suggestions?
