I have been on Effexor for about three years now and have found that we have to "adjust" (increase) my dose about every six months. I am maxed out at 300mg. (not that I would want to increase it anymore even if my pdoc suggested it). There are probably people who took higher doses but not this chick. Looking to get off it, but need to find an acceptable replacement. Already been on Prozac, Zoloft, Remeron and Depakote. It took about two years for Zoloft to quit working.
