Seroquel and not sleeping

I am switching to Abilify and have tapered off Seroquel. The problem is that I can't sleep at night and do not want to take any Seroquel to help me sleep for various reasons. How long does it take for you to return to be being able to sleep without the Seroqeul. I was on 900 mg of Seroquel a day for about three years. (I tried Benadryl to help me sleep but this was not effective.) Please help.
