Look at the prescribing info on both and re-read my post. The drug is released the same, the only difference is it takes longer to release because it has a protective barrier that bypasses your stomach so it dissolves in your lower intestine, hell, call them yourself and ask, they (Glaxo pharmacist) told me. The only big selling point "elliptical coating" was supposed to be the big relief from nausea, since it doesn't dissolve in your stomach. Regular Paxil never caused me nausea anyway, and the CR causes more cramping and diarreah.
