Hi Panda,
thanks. Yeah I was prescribed frisium for TMJ and
my mum was prescribed it for pain- it actually was
covered for me by TAC once but not anymore(Transport Accident Commission in Australia that you can get compsenation from but getting blood from a stone might be easier!).I'm on amitriptyline- Endep/Elavil (?).
I don't like:
weight gain,
sedation (I take it before bed but still feel slow the next day, hard to get out of bed etc),
dry mouth,
urinary retention
and other stuff I can't think of now.Does nothing for SAD.
I have been given a reccommendation from the Victorian Association of Anxiety Disorders Association for a a psychiatrist who specialises
in anxiety. If I can't get it from them I may
be forced to shop around or go through drug trials
with the psych until they relent and let me try Clonazepam lol!I am thinking of taking Clonazepam with Neurontin- both are anti-convulsant though so I'd have to have a pretty 'with it' psych who knows his stuff.
MAOIs are out of the question because of the restrictive diet.
Also I wonder about trying Prozac again (was on it years ago and loved it but went off it)- something for energy and confidence? Some people say they get apathy but wouldn't apathy be better than SAD lol?
Damian.
