Effexor Dreams II: The Destruction

Posted by Tancred62 on April 20, 2004, at 14:28:38

I last wrote of vivid, Effexor-withdrawl-related dreams. Well now it looks like I'm having them regardless, and having read that such dreams are common with this drug, I suppose I should get used to it. Only problem is that these dreams tend to make me "act out" in bed the scenarios in my dreams. This has led recently to my violently swinging my elbow (a defensive gesture in my dream) into my nightstand, resulting in a big bruise. Strangely enough I slept right through it and had to figure out the next morning why my elbow was sore and why my nightstand was knocked over. And if it isn't a crazy kinetic dream response it's two hours of insomnia. Is this stuff really worth it? I mean, I feel less dark and I'm not brooding as much, but now I'm destroying my furniture and my body at night. Oh well.
