Hi
ME, ME, ME!! I'm taking Effexor for perimenopause. I started on Paxil first, then Lexapro and now Effexor. I had terrible weight gain with Pax and Lex. I'm not sure if the Effexor is causing any weight gain or not (only been on it for 3 weeks). I do know while I was taking Pax and Lex, my periods were WONDERFUL... I felt like I was 15 or 16 years old -- no pain, no bloating, no cramping or anything. I just calculated the days by 28 days and WHAMMO...there it was in bright red like clock-work!! No headaches no symptoms whatsoever. I haven't had my period yet while taking Effexor but will know by next week how everything goes. My moods are stabilized, no crying fits, no miserable feelings, not screaming and yelling at my husband or pets!! I'm a NEW ME!! I feel wonderful!! Let me know if you have any questions!!!Cocohoneynut
> Anyone taking Effexor of perimenopausal symptoms or menopause? My gynecologist has had great success with the combo of Wellbutrin and Effexor for the anxiety, depression and mood swings associated with perimenopause and menopause.
