Hi MaddogUK,
My sister has BPD and she takes Lamictal and Zoloft, and has great success with it. She has been able to get control of her life again, repair her marriage and generally stabilize her erratic behavior. She feels much less moody and depressed.

Sorry I couldn't tell you anything about Effexor and BPD!
