I don't know what else you've tried but I avoid zyprexa because of the possibility of TD. Zyprexa can mask the TD but there have been reports of people getting it after even short periods on the drug.
If you have tried every SSRI without success. I would try some of the milder tricyclics first, as long as you aren't suicidal. Amitriptyline pulled me out of a deep funk (pre-Prozac days) and I saw green trees for the first time. You don't want it though because of heavy SE's. Nortriptyline or Desipramine would be better choices. Talk it over with your doc especially if you haven't tried all of the other safer options. If you end up needing Zyprexa to live a normal life, it's still a very effective drug. If it was all that worked for me, I'd do it.
