I previously took Effexor XR (112.5 mg/day) for about a year and a half, but gradually tapered off it after my depression receeded somewhat. I also didn't like the total numbness to the world that I felt while on Effexor. The more of it I took the sleepier I was all day.
So, I have switched to Wellbutrin XL for last 3 weeks, taking 150 XL per day.
Is anyone getting results with this dose? Is it effective? I know the "usual" adult dosage is 300 mg /day.
I am definitely more alert on Wellbutrin then Effexor, but I am feeling more sadness and lonliness on WB. I think Effexor did it's job by muting the anxiety and depressive feelings.
I'm just not sure WB is actually DOING anything.
What do you think?
Thanks for listening...
