Duloxetine (Cymbalta)

Posted by SaraG on December 11, 2003, at 13:12:46

Is there news concerning when the FDA will finally allow Lilly's newest antidepressant, Cymbalta (Duloxetine), to be sold in the U.S.? Like Effexor, it "speaks to" both Norepinephrine and Serotinin. A new study in yesterday's Medscape online (www.medscape.com) compares it to Effexor, and shows it to be more "active" for most patients. I've been on Effexor-XR for about 5 years, but this round of "Severe Depression, Recurrent" is not lifting after ~ 2 1/2 years. Thoughts (suggestions, personal experiences) as well as information about Cymbalta will be appreciated.
