In reply to My Doc Says WELLBUTRIN is for ANXIETY!, posted by matthhhh on September 30, 2003, at 18:08:10
I've been taking Wellbutrin for about 5 months for anxiety, ocd and depression, and I'm doing very well.
Initially, my doctor would not prescribe Wellbutrin because it is known to cause/increase anxiety in some individuals. It did make me feel slightly jittery for about two weeks, then it stopped.
My doctor is amazed at how well I've done on Wellbutrin. Especially when I told her that I take it in the evening and sleep like a baby at night.
Now, I did have such symptoms as dry mouth, severe pains in my shoulders, ringing in the ear, metallic taste in my mouth, headaches, an a few others that I've forgotten because they all subsided after about a month.
Once again a prime example of how we are all different.
