After over 1 1/2 years on Parnate, I'm still searching for the perfect (or adequate) sleep med to with it.
My latest try was with Tegretol. It doesn't seem to work any better than the others. So far I've tried Trazodone (works okay, but I get mini-cycling), Klonopin, Risperdal, Zyprexia (?), Seroquel, and probably some others that I can't recall.
I'm not interested in Ambien or Sonata or any addictive "real" sleeping pills that are addictive. I need some type of med that will let me sleep soundly and wake up without feeling groggy and drugged. I used Trazodone for years with other meds that called for something to aid in sleep and it worked fine. For some reason, with the Parnate I would have a few nights of reasonable sleep, then a few nights of difficulty sleeping and extra-energy during the day, and then a few nights/days of total crashing.
What are other people using? Any other meds than what I've listed above? Several I mentioned seem to make me to tired/groggy/drugged where I can't move from my couch all day (Risperdahl, Zyprexia, Seroquel, etc.).
Thanks,
Jessica
