Interesting coincidence - I was just posting a reply about Elavil up two threads from this one!
As I mentioned in the other post, I have never been able to tolerate any of the TCAs because I have low blood pressure and the TCAs lowered it further, and I was on the verge of passing out so much of the time.
I know it does help some people, especially with chronic pain, but not me :(
