I was on Prozac for years and hated it. Stayed sleepy all the time. Had terrible swelling and joint aches. It did decrease my appetite, though, and controlled the depression, but added a lot of other problems. I've just been recently started on Lexapro and had immediate help with this with no side effects - which is great. But it feels like I rode up to a peak and am now slowly riding down the other side. My MAIN problem is my inability to concentrate - I feel agitated all the time, have "restless legs", feel like I'm about to jump out of my skin. The Prozac and Lexapro work great at controlling the classic depression symptoms - but I can't find anything that is working on the lack of concentration problem. I feel like a kid with ADD. My work suffers, my housework suffers. I cannot finish anything I start. And on my worse days I cannot even get the motivation to start anything at all. I am highly sensitive to the sedating effects of drugs, so a lot of medications make me extremely drowsy, which I cannot tolerate - got too much to do. I don't want to be a zombie or feel like my brain is disconnected from my body. Any suggestions?????
