How 'bout a ten dollar book?
At Amazon I found "The Cortisol Connection" by Shawn Talbott. His credentials as a nutritionist are excellent, and he explains cortisol hell and how to counter it in simple terms. I'm using B complex, Calcium (use citrate, not carbonate) Magnesium, Ester C, fish oil, couple other supplements and am doing SO much better. I was tachycardic and rattling all the time.
So it's a couple of vitamins, not just one, but it works for me.
I also got on Trileptal for mood stabilizer, and that's helped a lot. The whole cortisol thing is driven by stress/ anxiety and there's some new science relating it to the same "slow seizure" theory as mood disorder, so an AED makes sense.
This helped me, and the book gives good explanations and lots of options so you can do your own supplement plan. Go to a good health food store, the products are better. I use NOW brand stuff, very good products at very affordable prices. Their fish oil is excellent as well.missliz
