Hi, I hope this helps:-)
I also get the INTENSE craving for sugar- A LOT.
I don't do heroin either and never have and never will-but I get the idea.
Try not to be sad-although I DO understand you.
I'm not even working out-but I bought a bike and am going to start, so you're one step ahead of me:-)
When I was on Prozac-I ate, ate, ate. Simply because I felt better, some meds do that. Have you tried anything else? Or does Prozac seem to work for you? To "just be strongwilled and say no"- is hard-what is your doc thinking?
No, I just have been where you are at.
As far as suggestions--Have you heard of Topomax?
Let me know k?
Hanging in with ya!
Kristen
==================================================================================================wow that makes me so sad. i have gained about 30 lbs since starting prozac, and i go to the gym 5 times a week but i have this intense craving for sugar that feels parallel to a heroin addiction - ive never done street drugs but from what i see on the movies - wanting sugar for me feels like "needing a fix" - i feel like im going to DIE if i dont have sugar.
i know that i have to curb that craving, but i just dont know what to do - im going to the gym and working out and the prozac is helping my rage issues but im eating a whole dozen of krispy kreme just to be able to go to sleep at night and get rid of the twitches....
ive complainted to my pdoc various times and he told me to "just be strongwilled and say no"
any suggestions?
