In reply to Help!! OCD/Chrohn's Disease...Is this For Real??, posted by Bubba D. Lux on February 28, 2003, at 16:04:31
I'm sorry you are going through this, I am a psych college student (senior) not that means anything BUT, it sounds to me as if he has something more going on-really. Does he do drugs? Just a simple question? Has he tried Luvox? I had severe abdominal pain and it was nothing after many, many diagnostics tests. I refused to go to a psychiatrist at the time, but since then, I started PREVACID and it has done wonders. If you read up, many many people with psychiatric illnesses are highly intelligent so I hear your concern as to why he is this way. I don't know the extent of just exactly how your relationship is with him, but he needs someone now, unfortunately it sounds as if you are at the rope's end-I am sorry. Keep caring and I wish you the best. I hoped this helped a little?
God Bless,
Kristen
He's 32, as of yesterday. Is this some strange part of the OCD?? What has caused this irrational behavior in a highly educated person??
The real problem is his OCD and his vehement position that he has Chrohn's disease. We went to a GI doctor. My boyfriend didn't know I would speak to the doctor. The doctor told me while he was in recovery that he didn't have Chrohn's disease and showed me the pictures to prove it. He suggested we see his psychiatrist.
He "goes to the bathroom" on himself for crying out loud. Is this an attention ploy. OCD?? Is he seriously mentally ill??
I'm at the end of my rope. Please, Is this part of OCD or a deeper mental condition. If so, What medications should he be on. He has been on many (or so he claims, who knows what the truth really is with his reality). I love him very deeply and want him to get well.
