My pleasure; unfortunately i don't think
everything that is proposed can materialize;
Chretien himself says he doubts all suggestions
can be met, which makes it a bit like a
Vaudeville act.I think one very serious
problem is in the North where the Natives' health
and life is so dreadfully low that it competes
with the worst countries in the world. It HAS
to be addressed. I sent a suggestion, which
i am sure is not unique, that more immigrant
doctors be admitted, e.g. doctors from Russia
or Pakistan or other poorer countries where they
cannot find work and yet have these medical
degrees -- and drop the "but you
don't have a med degree from Harvard and a rich
daddy to recommend you" kind of thing. That is
up to the Royal College of Physicians and i
hope that they will yield because what is happening
up there is absolutely shameful.Squiggles
