Buspar and OCD. Help or hinder?

Posted by yeltom on September 29, 2002, at 20:02:53

I came across a thread that suggested that Buspar can actually DECREASE an SSRI's (specifically Celexa's) ability to control OCD. This seems bizarre. I have read just the opposite and was prescibed buspar (along with Celexa and now Lexapro) to help with OCD (and other sorts of anxiety). I have been a bit extra obsessive recently (which has cause me to obsessively scour the pages of psycho-babble), and I'd really like to know whether buspar could be partly to blame. Please tell me it's not.
