When you take a drug screen they have you fill out a form that includes listing all medications that you have been taking. Make sure you list EVERYTHING... vitamins, over-the-counter, everything. Then if they come up with a positive screen they have to compare it against what you have listed. I suppose they may request a note from your Dr. if they are concerned about the amphetamines.
I don't know the law, but if you have a Dr. prescription for a medication I don't think they can hold that against you in a pre-employment drug screen. I think that might fall into the category of ADA discrimination. My husband says that if you fail a pre-employment screen, they are required by law to give you another chance because of the risk of false positives.
