In reply to anyone work while they are depressed?, posted by ross on March 14, 2002, at 7:54:10

Hi Ross - Over the years I've learned coping strategies for depression/anxiety and I find that, for me, it's best to carry on with work-, family- and social-life as normally as possible.

If I feel too bad to drive, or am worried about the side effects of meds, then I'll get a lift in with someone or take public transport. I might not achieve much for the company, skulking behind my desk and PC all day, but it helps me because at least I'm out there. The routine seems to be beneficial, and swimming as often as I can is another great lifesaver for me.

Best wishes

Lizzy
