Anna said, "I was on Efexxor for 4 weeks. Good news: I have been off of it for 4 days and no stuttering."

In my experience the side-effects of effexor went away after several months. I had suffered with chronic depression as a teenager. My psychologist with me tried to get my gp to prescribe a medication at that time to help. I wish I had had the benefit of medication then.

Marcie, I think you are best to get a professional opionion. (Cam is a pharmascist.) In my opinion, if your son had the stuttering before starting effexor I wouldn't be too concerned unless with time at the same dose it becomes constant.
