I don't know what if anything has been attempted as treatment for you. My pdoc originally tried a beta blocker alone (little results), then a beta blocker and Xanax (no), then a beta blocker, ativan, and nortrip (the worst yet--increased depression with extremely dry mouth and constipation). I stayed on this regimen longer than I should have because I really wanted it to work. He later replaced the nortrip with prozac and that combo worked well for some time.
My intention in telling you all this is of course (as you may already know and as has been demonstrated on this page), that you may have to try it or others with various combinations. Also, my pdoc told me that even though I didn't have success with it, many people do!
