Sigolene:
I am sorry about that. I have bipolar II disorder (that usually presents as depression) and sometimes my mood, and answers, are a little off.
I was placed on Buspar twice, both times while on an antidepressant (an SSRI) and I responded badly to it.
I became very tired, my mood got worse (I had to be hospitalized), I couldn't get out of bed in the morning. In other words, I had terrible side effects and no good effects. When my hypomania comes, I get very irritable, anxious, and feel dysphoric (bad, depressed) instead of euphoric (happy) -- in the past this was misdiagnosed as "anxious depression" or "generalized anxiety disorder with dysthymia." and buspar and benzodiazepines were used.
I warn you, this was MY response to the drug. Your response may be different, and better, than mine. If you decide to try it, please keep us informed on how you respond.
