First Attempt in 3+ Years.........

Posted by JudithC on July 29, 2000, at 7:22:36

Dear Babblers,

On July 17,I stopped taking Celexa (was on 40 mg.) and then a few days later I stopped the Sonata 20 mg. so now I am experiencing "brain fog" and I am having the most vivid, complex dreams (when I do sleep that is) that I have ever had.....the psychdoc said that these symptoms would fade out within a 2-3 week time frame.
And,I stopped taking Adderall (up to 60 mg.daily) which leaves me on Neurontin 600 mg. daily for the muscle pain of Fibromyalgia. So,without these meds,I am quite curious to see just what will happen and how it may happen! I have tried so many, many drugs over these past 3 years due to the major depression I was "left with" after coming off of Ativan 6 mg. daily taken for treatment of panic attacks for about 3 years. In fact,I am still having protracted withdrawal symptoms due to the benzo use which are tinnitus and the Fibro and some other delightful issues.

Has anyone accomplished a successful w/d from all meds?
I mean has anyone been able to function without taking meds for major depression? I decided that I simply had to cease taking these meds since none of them helped and if anything,I realized that they were only exacerbating the protracted Ativan w/d symptoms such as the tinnitus, etc.

Confused,
JudithC
