been taking 20mg Celexa since the beginning of
April. I was pleased with it's effect. My mood
improved considerably, I was able to think more
clearly, my thoughts, and reading and writing skills
were becoming more focused. I was still very lethargic
but with the improved mood I was able to take
positive action and exercise each day. I was also
able to get my butt out of bed in the morning
instead of the afternoon. I had also planned to
return to work half-time this week.About 2 weeks ago it seemed as if the Celexa lost
it's effectiveness. My thoughts are scattered, the
'bad' self destructive thoughts are a constant again.
When the Celexa was working, I was easily able
to ignore or push those thoughts away. My mood
is very low. These effects did not happen gradually,
it was abrupt. Was it the same for you?I'm very unhappy about this change. I am unable
to return to work as planned because I lack the
ability to perform my job as an estimator/project
manager. It's a very detail oriented job, reading
plans and technical specifications, writing contracts
and subcontracts, negotiating, etc. My boss is not
too happy that I'm still on leave either. I've been
off 3 months and my savings are depleted. I need
to get back to work.I did up my dose to 40mg after 2 weeks at 20mg but
the nausea was too much for me. I had nausea on 20mg
but it has finally gone away. My pdoc has been on
vacation, I have an appt with her on Monday. I'm
going to ask about an increase to 40mg. This morn
I took 40mg and I plan to continue the 40mg until
I see my pdoc, I've got my fingers crossed, hoping
this will help.Sorry I can't provide answers for you, but you are
not alone. I hope that we both find a solution.Take Care
