> You know, as long as I've been on meds, I've probably withdrawn more from life than the other way around. Even when I really didn't feel depressed, it was still easier to be alone. I need some behavior modification but I've talked myself silly in therapy. I feel a great need to take more chances in life, little stuff, but can't motivate myself at all. Anyone had lasting success in this area?

Write stuff down in those columns all the time. Stop negative thoughts ASAP. The best book I've read on it was - Oh heck, I forgot the name! It's not new. Maybe it was Feel Good or something like that.
Anyway, sometimes, talk, talk, talk, symptom, symptom, symtom turns into my own psychodrama. Decided to get back to basics and quit chasing symptoms with more meds.
My primary problem was depression -so I have consequently passed on the mood stabilizers, etc.
Sometimes I find just getting up and going into a different room helps. We're never really healed. I still feel bad sometimes and good other times. Good luck with the new job!
