Morose that was a very interesting post, although its truth is no more provable that the proofs it discusses. At present I'm seeing an Albert Ellis type Rational Emotive Behavioural therapist (REBT). It's a bit like CBT. Sure enough, like Procrustes sawed people up to fit the bed, I feel I'm being moulded to fit the theory. One notion is that one can't be depressed while engaged in vigorous physical activity. Well I can! Anyone know anything about this therapy? There's plenty on the web but it all comes via Dr. Ellis. A bit like asking L.Ron Hubbard what he thinks of Scientology. I did think the objections to therapy in the original post were aimed at therapies that attempt to get at the subconscious. Does the book also discount CBT type methods?
